Rachel Fetherston

Rachel Fetherston is a PhD candidate in literary studies at Deakin University investigating the representation of the nonhuman in Australian ecofiction and the potential impact that such fiction has on the reader’s relationship with nature. Her research includes considerations of climate fiction, crime fiction, multispecies studies, and the intersection of ecocritical theory and nature connection. She is also a freelance writer with work published in OverlandGuardian AustraliaAntithesis Journal and Australian Geographic, and is a co-founder of Remember The Wild, a non-profit organisation focused on engaging Australians with the natural world.
