Indigo Perry

Indigo Perry is a Senior Lecturer in Writing, Literature & Culture in the School of Communication & Creative Arts at Deakin University. She is a writer and performer, working in memoir and experimental writing forms and practices. Her latest book is Darkfall (UWAP 2020), a memoir. Her first book, Midnight Water (Picador) was shortlisted for the National Biography Award. Indigo’s work is anchored by the word solastalgia, the grief one feels for the loss of or change to one’s home. Through performative creative practices and forms, she explores entwinements of personal and ecological grief in the face of environmental destruction and the ways that these are performed by writers and artists.
