Gary Levy has been a casual academic in the School of Education, Faculty of Arts and Education since 2012. At Deakin, his work has centred around pre-service and post-graduate teacher education; qualitative and post-qualitative inquiry; ethics of care; and increasing justice for all. His intention with students is to provoke and support their thinking, decision-making and communicating around matters of critical contemporary importance. These matters include grappling with our colonial past and present; understanding the fraying socio-political fabric generated by capitalist excesses and neo-liberal (ir)rationalities; and addressing hu/man culpabilities in the devastation of life-sustaining ecologies.
