Gabi Mocatta is Lecturer in Communication in the SCCA at Deakin. She is a former journalist and media and environmental communication researcher who focuses on the communication of climate change, policy, energy transition, environmental conflict and environmental justice. Gabi is currently also Research Fellow in Climate Change Communication with the Climate Futures research group at the University of Tasmania, and a collaborator in the MeCCO (Media and Climate Change Observatory) project with Prof Max Boykoff at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is co-authoring Environmental Communication in a Time of Crisis with network member Erin Hawley, for forthcoming publication by Routledge.
