
Erin Hawley is a Lecturer in Communication at Deakin. Her research investigates environmental communication for, by, and about children. Erin has written about eco-pedagogy and the environmental themes in children’s television, and about screen adaptation and the adult/child boundary. She is particularly interested in the spaces and places where media literacy and sustainability literacy intersect. Her work has been published in journals including Media International Australia, Continuum, Journalism Studies, Screen Education, and Literature/Film Quarterly.
