D’Arcy Molan is a musician, writer, and teacher based in Natimuk. He is currently a PhD candidate in literary studies and creative writing at Deakin University. His research and creative work focuses on the transformational possibilities of community arts and the postcolonial politics of placemaking through his non-Indigenous family connection to the Wimmera region of north-west Victoria. The interconnections of global and local climate change, and the environmental manipulation or destruction of ecosystems, are issues that inform his project. He is a music teacher for primary and secondary students at a government school in the Wimmera.
